March 18, Monday
Last night before we had such a precious moment at Kem Botak, we are fortunate because the weather so great without strong wind. So we had a chance to stay a bit longer outside. At this point, about 2km closer to the space and above the clouds, i saw a thousand or more of stars clearly then normal. What i realized is, normally i can see the stars for direction for north-south-east-west. That night am feeling i can pick those stars and am surrounding by it. Having fish eye lens would be great to capture those moment. The sky totally dark and stars are very bright. Am feeling like in the space honestly.
05:15 : Around that time an alarm is on from the girl next of the tent. I not sure voice of who. But that voices sound like some one really in cold weather. Once i realized, they can’s sleep although they the 1st go in their tent. Its because they don’t have proper sleeping bag or their stuffs for bed got wet because of the weather on the 1st day. So guys, it’s really important to ensure our cloths and sleeping get dry all the time. Tips; have a proper rain cover for your bag and make sure covered your cloths and sleeping bag with black bin bag (good quality one) before packing in your bag. What happen to us on 1st day is, we had to pass our bag cross the river 1st because the water very strong, that what the important of bin bag!!!
06:10 : We are making steps further up for sunrise at the peak. Have proper head lamp for good walking. Thanks to the guys in front of me, i don't have head lamp that time. I can take picture in the dark because of my other mobile phone not my i phone, an old sony ericson is in duty for the rest of the journey till back the 1st point where we are started our journey. To be enjoy for taking pictures, please do have power bank. Am still ok because have two mobile phones and the battery last for 2days at least.
06:55 : Me, Abg Juki and Zul at the front of others, this just to make sure i can capture sunrise. At this time we not at the peak yet, am scared we gonna miss that chance.
as usual a #GJTA trade mark….just a silhouette
at this point am really sweat inside of my jumper. Do have proper cloth especially the one can be with cold temperature. Because in the morning it’s really cold. What i did to the rest of the part to the peak, i left my jumper and wind breaker some where here.
07:04 : We reached at the peak, Subhanallah what a such view. Above the clouds and at the peak i can see 360 degree easily clouds below of me.
1st time i had such an experience and view like this was on board from London to Kuala Lumpur. Somewhere between Arab to India.
still waiting for the smile of sunrise on the horizon in front of us
07:11 : yes yes….all of us here, all of us very exciting of this sunrise together with Abg Juki. As mentioned by our guide, our group is lucky because having a chance to have sunset and sunrise. Alhamdulillah. At this time we are not bother to others, all a crazy taking picture of sunrise with smartphone.
07:12 : Sun is smiling for the bright day
07:17 : It’s about 5minutes for this precious moment
finally am here….Alhamdulillah
group photo, we need an evidence to get certificate. But they will check those stuffs we bring us once we arrive at the office. I thought all of us in this front, but one of us not in. What a lucky guy, had the highest toilet in Peninsular Malaysia. I need to try that one as well, lols. Now i realised the good thing about my old sony ericson. A self timer mode and i can stand it alone.
Subhanallah, we are above clouds. Because i left my wind breaker somewhere, i have to keep me warm by sitting towards the sun.
part of #GJTA, btw gjta making new friends. Nice meeting you guys, Firdauz, Azizul, Ammar, Yie, angkung lie, Liana and boss (big boss hampa ok no boleh ikot staffs bawahan dia)…not to forget Kak Wati and Abang Juki.
07:50 : Time to explore what at the peak can offer to me. Tapak Kaki Sang Kelembai, from the myth of Sang Kelembai. As mentioned the other side of this foot path on the a peak some where next to Mount Tahan. Wohoo….its big right
an orchid
flowering bonsai
periuk kera
state border point between Kelantan and Pahang
path to Kuala Tahan, we need 5 days from here to be there. Certainly we need to cross Bukit Malang, what a such name. At Bukit Malang, they said we need to hike 27 peaks. Wohoo must be nice view there.
5 days for 56 km for Kuala Tahan, 2 days for 44km for Sungai Relau
mossy mossy
8:30 : Time to make a move, back down to Kem Botak. I need to get back my jumper and wind breaker i left somewhere.
with the bight sunny day, i can see the true colors of the bonsai area now. I can’t appreciate those views on the way up to the peak.
another peak and way down to Kuala Tahan
Its getting hotter very fast, headache because to bright. No wonder why Abg Juki bring with him sunglasses.
Ya Allah cantiknya permadangan kat atas sini….huhu
08:43 : our camp site, Kem Botak
It’s only our group, what a lucky of us. We conquer all the space at Kem Botak. Do need to bother where to put our bags and stuffs. We just leave it on the rock’s floor. The most important thing we have the best place to set up our tents. That position was the best for tent, because on the other side is on the rock surfaces.
Ahh, i forgot to take picture of the source of our water at this camp. Btw please take care of the water source for next group. Don't mess it with rubbish etc.
Info : Only 4 groups from each entrance are allowed, one group limited for 12 persons with one guide. So where are lucky.
i found this little purple very on floor
09:00 : Reached Kem Botak, 1943m above sea level.
Ahh!! i got headache because the sun to bright and really hot, no protection like sunglasses. We need to pack our tents and other stuffs as fast as we can, if we don't want stay longer and direct expose to the sun.
10:10 : We are heading back to Bonsai.
Here the end from Kem Botak – peak Mt Tahan – Kem Botak. Will see you soon in next chapter. Idea is like draining water now, need to do some draft on it 1st. Ciao me amigos…..
